The ‘Amazing America’ Education Fair 2009 promises to be one of the best such fairs in Sri Lanka where 17 American universities will be showcased.
Education is one of the best investments you can make for your future, and this fair organized by the American Alumni Association of Sri Lanka will introduce you to a world of opportunity. Parents will be able to meet with foreign counsellors of U.S. universities and talk to them on a one-to-one basis to find out all the information they need. In this way, parents and students can get reliable facts about the American educational system, university entry requirements, the costs, the latest information, etc. so that they can make a well-educated decision for their children's higher education in the USA.
The universities to be showcased represent a wide spectrum. You will find:
- USA's number-one public universities that have been voted the best for computer studies and other disciplines
- USA's research giants in engineering and bio-technology
- USA's large colleges with over 50,000 students and high-tech facilities
- USA's select universities where you will be recognized individually and given attention in small classroom settings
* USA's prestigious universities offering international merit- based scholarhips and application fee waivers
* USA's best-buy universities that give value for money
* USA's colleges famous for marine biology, psychology, business, medicine, hospitality, and the arts.
In addition, there will be very informative USA visa seminars, discussions on life in the USA, and seminars on how to choose the best university. The AAA members will be giving you tips on what to expect in the USA, drawing from their own experiences there. Last but not least, the US Fulbright Commission will be doing seminars on how to complete university applications.
Since USA is the most sought-after and the most prestigious destination in the world for higher education, you will find that your best educational opportunities are in the USA, where approximately 2500 Sri Lankan students are currently studying. These fellow students are contributing to new scientific breakthroughs, learning the latest business strategies, and excelling in music, drama and the arts.
And YOU can be one of them!
