An explosive career fair giving exposure to the expanding IT/BPO industry

Virtusa Corporation, together with the Rotaract Club of Colombo and the Interact Club of Royal College took a step forward to increase student knowledge and understanding of the IT/BPO industries and plan their career options at an early stage.

'Tech Fusion 2009' aided early exposure to a rapidly growing IT/BPO industry, aimed at increasing the number of qualified IT professionals in the country.

Targeting students of Grades 10, 11, and 12 within Sri Lankan schools, this explosive career fair was held at the Royal College Nawarangahala Hall.

Other companies involved in the career guidance presentations included JKH and WNS, presenting representatives to give professional advice.

The University of Moratuwa, APPIIT and Informatics were the training institutions involved, offering information regarding the versatile IT course options available.

This bringing together of academia and industry to give students a better idea about career growth and opportunities, also gave students the opportunity to have individual clarifications of questions, advice and counsel.

'Tech Fusion 2009' was indeed a window into the future, in today's rapidly growing IT world.
