The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) is now inviting nominations for this year's CIMA Annual Awards. The awards acknowledge and honour outstanding performers who demonstrate excellence in management accounting and lead the way in our profession.
They recognize individuals, teams and organizations who have achieved considerable and measurable success throughout 2010.
CIMA is delighted to announce the 16 award categories, including the addition of four new categories:
Consultant of the year - an individual consultant or a consultancy firm that has demonstrated commitment to the long term success of its client's business.
Best annual report of the year - an organization which most clearly describes its strategy in the narrative section of the annual report.
Distance learning student of the year, sponsored by BPP - a CIMA distance learning student who has demonstrated commitment, motivation and discipline in studies; and
Business partner of the year - The finance team which provides the best example of what business partnering really means.

- Part qualified of the year - sponsored by BPP
- Finance team of the year - public sector/not-for-profit
- Finance team of the year - private sector
- Recruitment consultancy of the year
- Responsible business
- Innovation in business
- Unlocking business intelligence
- Medium-sized employer of the year: under 5,000 employees - sponsored by Robert Half
- Large employer of the year: over 5,000 employees - sponsored by Hays Senior Finance
- Outstanding contribution to business performance by a CIMA member
All nominations will be reviewed and selected by a panel of expert judges. The shortlist will be available to view online from September.
The winners will be announced at a prestigious awards dinner at The Royal Lancaster Hotel, London, on the evening of November 22 2010.
