‘Waiting’ facility for IIFA guests

Construction is underway near the car park of the Colombo Hilton (bordering the railway line) for a ‘waiting’ facility for train travellers embarking in Colombo from the Katunayake Airport. A fast shuttle train between the airport and Colombo is planned in time for the International Indian Film Academy Awards here next month, for the convenience of delegates and guests. They will get off at the station alongside the Hilton and from there move to their respective hotels. Pic by Berty Mendis
