A probe has been launched on four Peradeniya University lecturers after an audit report alleged that three of them had obtained seven years’ paid leave for post graduate studies which they failed to complete while the fourth is yet to return.
The three had returned to service while the fourth had obtained his doctorate, but not returned to service.
Each of them had drawn university funds amounting to Rs. two million, it was alleged.
One of them was found to be a temporary lecturer who is not entitled to paid leave. |
