A joint project to benefit a community was recently carried out when the standards and facilities of the Homagama Base Hospital was upgraded by Miami Exports, the flagship apparel manufacturing company of BAM Holdings group together with their principal buyers Tesco of UK. A press release stated that employees of both companies installed new sign boards throughout the entire hospital to facilitate easy access and guidance to the patients as part of the hospital’s 5S housekeeping programme.
They also donated a Pulse Oximeter, a critical life saving equipment for the children’s ward. The project valued at about half a million rupees was carried out under the auspices of the Bamunu Arachchi Foundation in the presence of Christophe Roussel the International Sourcing Director of Tesco United Kingdom and Harshana Mahipala, the Group Director of BAM Holdings. |
