New Young enjoy victory while Ratnam and Army draw

In the Dialog Champions League, New Young beat out Java Lane at New Young’s ground in Wennappuwa and Army drew with Ratnam at the football complex in Kelaniya, during their two matches held yesterday.

Nigerian Aziz Kola scored the decisive goal for New Young during the last ten minutes of their game. In the one all draw between Ratnam and Army, in form striker Mohamed Izadeen was on target for Army but their advantage was erased by a laser guided free kick from former national captain, Dudley Steinwall.
