Pensioners: Grateful to be paid in Ceylinco saga

We are pensioners who sold our house and lived in an apartment because we knew we couldn’t maintain our house and garden when we got very old. We didn’t have children to give our house to.
We are now living in a one-roomed annex because we couldn’t pay the apartment rental since we didn’t receive the interest from Ceylinco Shiram for more than one year.

But now we started getting installments from last month though we were initially categorized as ‘big depositors’ for depositing Rs 3 million. We are grateful to those who made that decision to pay people like us. It will not affect the small depositor in any way. We must be ever grateful to the then Fort Magistrate who had a corporate knowledge in addition to his legal background because it was he who encouraged to pay all depositors and identified who could implement his vision well. God’s blessings to those who helped for having a considerate heart.
