Kotmale Holdings PLC this week announced the appointment of Messrs Ramesh Schaffter and Eardley Perera to its Board of Directors with effect from August 16.
The two new appointments will enlarge the Kotmale board to six directors, and comes at a time when the company is poised to re-launch its extensive product portfolio with greater emphasis on liquid milk products, and to expand its retail presence, according to a company statement.
An accountant by profession, Mr. Schaffter has over 20 years of experience in senior management in the United Kingdom and Sri Lanka. He has served as Managing Director of Kotmale Group and currently serves on the Board of Janashakthi Insurance PLC as an Executive Director.
A pioneer in marketing education in Sri Lanka, Mr Perera was founder Chairman of the Sri Lanka Branch of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) in 1995 - the institute’s first branch outside the United Kingdom. He is currently Chairman of M&E (Pvt) Ltd and serves on the Boards of Keells Food Products PLC, Janashakthi Insurance PLC, ODEL PLC, STING Consultants (Pvt) Ltd., and other private companies.
Subsequent to the new appointments, the Board of Directors of Kotmale comprises Jude Fernando, Manjula Mathews, Dinesh Schaffter, Nihara Rodrigo, Ramesh Schaffter and Eardley Perera. |
