Jacqualine, the newest singing sensation of the band ‘C & C Combination’ is releasing her video song titled ‘Amma’ from the album ‘Sandu Awilla’ of Chandani Hettiarachchi next month. The song ‘Amma’ was composed by Mahinda Bandara and written by Nandana Wickramage.
Jacqualine, the daughter of Chandani Hettiarachchi, came to limelight few years ago singing with her mother, made her name in the music scene within a short period of time.
Jacqualine patronizes the band in handling front line singing contributing unique style of music.
Album ‘Sandu Awilla’ also contains two other originals of her. Recently she released the audio of her debut single ‘Nilupul Daas Dalwala’ music composed by Kasun Kalahara and lyrics written by Aruna Kithsiri.‘C & C with MJ’ will be the new name for Chandani’s new outfit.
‘We decided to change the name with the inclusion of Marlon. M and J portrait Marlon and Jackie’ Chandani said.
The leader of the band Chaminda one of the ‘C’ is the keyboardist and volcalist and also the music coordinator for the band. Other ‘C’ is the beautiful lady who is the main vocalist of the band.
Chandani has been in the music industry for nearly 25 years and plays a major role both in the local music as well as in the western music arena. She released her third Album ‘Sandu Awliia’ last year. She patronizes the band by singing songs from the late 60’s to modern music.
Supun is one of the original players of the band, who contributes by playing bass and adds the fine touch of Sri Lankan flavor. Channa is also a senior musician who plays lead guitar, sings mellow tunes from Tom Jones, Engelbert and Chris Rea and finally the drummer of the band, Sriyantha (Sri) is a very senior musician who has been with many great line ups like Dream Team, Pearl etc.
‘New addition Marlon has been in the music field for nearly 15 years and is a very talented singer. He adds flavor to any type of music but excels in reggae and rock’ Chandani explained.
