Peace of mind and a sense of community belonging always arise with a common bond in religion. With "Harmony" amongst all in mind, the Christian Society of Wycherley International School organized a programme titled "Gospel in Perfect Harmony". This event took place on October 15 at the Senior School Campus. Wycherley is twenty five years old and this particular programme was arranged to give thanks to God for his guidance throughout the past 25 years and to ask for his direction for us in the years to come.
This event saw the presence of guests from Methodist College, The Royal Institute and Asian International School who all presented items in Songs of Praise. The students from both the Junior and Senior Schools of Wycherley also participated with the rendition of many Hymns of Praise.
The Senior School students displayed their talents in the melodious singing of "Amazing Grace", "As the Dear Panteth" and "Lean On Me". They also presented a skit based on the moral values that we should learn, from the "Prodigal Son".
The Junior School Choir gave a solemn rendition of "Shine Jesus Shine" and lustily sang out with Joy "How Great Thou Art". The Primary School of Wycherley picked on "You Raised Me Up" and the Elvis Presley favourite "If That Isn't Love". The school choirs of our guests too gave out their messages in song. All Hymns of Praise were very listenable and meaningful.
The event was graced by the students and members of staff of both Wycherley and our invitees. The event came to an end with the whole congregation joining in to sing the perennial favourite "Hymn for Ceylon". We all continue to pray that God's guiding hand will lead Wycherley on in the years that lie ahead of her. |
