India’s External Affairs, Minister S. M. Krishna, is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka on November 25 on a three-day official visit.
During his visit, Mr. Krishna will open two new Indian consulates, in Jaffna and Hambantota.
He is also expected to meet civilians in the North and East who have been displaced because of the war, and review progress of India-funded projects in the North.
One of the projects is the 50,000 houses programme. The first phase begins with the construction of 1,000 houses in the North. |
