The Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT) has announced it is setting up a network spanning its 12,000 Alumni and has called for applications from students to form the executive committee for this organisation, which will hold its inaugural meeting on December 4, 2010.
According to SLIIT's announcement; "All graduates of SLIIT and graduates of its Overseas Partner Universities who followed the respective degree programmes at SLIIT are eligible to become members of the SLIIT Alumni. SLIIT Diploma holders will be eligible to become Associate Members of the SLIIT Alumni."
Further, according to SLIIT President and Chief Executive Prof. Lalith Gamage; "We aim to become the widest spread and strongest alumni that supports the betterment of its community."
The announcement also noted that SLIIT, which has five campuses situated at Malabe, Colombo, Kandy, Matara and Jaffna, graduated 2,000 a year, with placements at Aitken Spence, Colombo Stock Exchange, IFS, Mphasis, Virtusa, MAS Holdings, etc. (JH) |
