Top official resigns

Additional Secretary to the Ministry of Economic Development B.Wijayaratne resigned from his post earlier this month over an apparent disagreement with Treasury Secretary Dr. P.B.Jayasundara who is also Secretary to that Ministry, informed sources said.

On January 12, he assumed duties as the Director of the Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration. He was a former Commissioner of Motor Traffic prior to moving to the ministry.
