World's first 3D camcorder in Sri Lanka

Softlogic began the New Year with the launch of the world's first 3D camcorder by Panasonic, coming in the wake of the Panasonics Full HD 3D Plasma TV which was introduced recently. Speaking at the launch this week, Chairman Softlogic Holdings Asok Pathirage said, "we are happy to introduce this to our loyal customers who could now further enrich their lives with this latest available technology. This is the testament of Panasonic to make available the latest products to enhance the quality of life of their customers."

Managing Executive Officer, Panasonic Corporation, Corporate Management Division Asia, Iko Miyamoto said that the Sri Lankan market is very important to the company.

"This is one of the countries that the latest innovations are assimilated very quickly. We have taken this step in launching this product in the country so that the people here have the advantage of benefitting from the latest technology."

Speaking further he said that 3D is not new but that Panasonic has taken it to a new level where the images are in real HD quality unlike the older versions where this level of quality could not be achieved.
Mr Pathirage said Softlogic is now a company with a varied and vibrant portfolio. "We are into telecommunications, consumer electronics, office automation, retail, automobiles, apparel, computer based airline reservations, power solutions, property development, furniture, health care and leisure. Today we employ over 2000 people and we have overseas offices in Singapore, Pakistan and Australia. In all our ventures we make available the very latest products to our customers."
