The Kotelawala Defence University is organising a symposium with a view to identifying prospects for development in post-conflict Sri Lanka.
The symposium, to be held on August 18 and 19, under the theme “Challenges of Post-Conflict Sri Lanka” is open to local and foreign participants.
A university statement said academics and researchers from national and private universities, decision-making officials from the government and the private sector, are invited to participate at the symposium, which will also explore moves to eradicate the roots of terrorism and establish sustainable peace, along with other necessary conditions for the “take off” of development of the country.
