Sri Lankan container transport, logistics and warehousing provider Goldstar has signalled its plans to cater to the domestic construction industry next. This follows recent forays into the garment and food and beverages industries, along with related sectors, according to a company statement.
A joint venture with the UK's Goldstar Transport which was incorporated in 2011, the Sri Lankan unit, in its statement, also highlighted on-time delivery, a technically superior fleet of vehicles, advanced tracking systems and an experienced team, and especially its trained drivers, as reasons for its becoming an industry leader in such a short span. It also noted that it had one of the largest, and most modern, road transportation fleets domestically, comprising "Mercedes-Benz prime movers, the Axor series."
