The ‘Aloka Pooja’, at the Thanthirimale Temple carried out annually by Wijeya Newspapers Ltd (WNL) to mark Poson Poya will commence today in the evening.
The ‘Aloka Pooja’ will continue until June 5.
This event takes place for the 9th consecutive year.
On the first day the event will be opened by WNL Director Lal Jayawardena and on the following day it will be opened by Chairman Ranjit Wijewardene. On the final day Siri Ranasinghe, the Director/Editor-in-chief of the Lankadeepa newspaper will declare open the event.
The management and staff of WNL will donate school uniform material and stationery to the staff and students of Thanthirimale Sunday School on the occasion.
