The new Sri Lankan Government’s 100-day programme is unlikely to be met within the prescribed period, a respected Government politician said on Monday. Deputy Investment and Highways Minister Eran Wickramaratne told a Colombo corporate planning workshop that it’s not easy to undo what has happened over decades. “(Yes) … there are shortcomings in our 75 day-old government. But don't throw the baby with the bathwater. Don't lose sight of the larger picture,” he urged. (DE)
