Founded in 1985, Ceyline Group has navigated the complexities of the maritime industry for four decades, expanding its influence and services to encompass over 20 subsidiaries in Sri Lanka and overseas. Today, the group's expertise spans across maritime, logistics, healthcare, engineering, leisure and education.
The Ceyline Group's Management Trainee graduation, themed "Inspiring Leadership," echoed the spirit of pioneering primatologist Dr. Jane Goodall's dedication to positive change and conservation. Just as Goodall inspires through her work, Ceyline aims to fulfill its purpose of "inspiring leadership in everyone we touch to build a sustainable and equitable future for all". This event served as a tribute to her enduring legacy.
Throughout the year-long program, these individuals were immersed in various departments and subsidiaries, gaining hands-on experience and honing their skills under the guidance of seasoned professionals.
Ms. Chamila Bandara, as the honoured chief guest of this event, highlighted the importance of authentic leadership, emphasizing that “empathy” and “emotional intelligence” will be essential qualities for the leaders of the future.
The programs’ success was attributed not only to structured training modules and mentorship but also to Ceyline's enduring core values of Caring, Courage and Coaction.
