ROKY Holdings Pvt. Ltd., a leading provider of water treatment solutions, has installed a state-of-the-art water purification system at B / Heewelkandura Maha Vidyalaya in Uva-Mawelagama. This initiative was carried out in line with World Water Day, which falls on 22 March, reaffirming the company’s commitment to providing clean and safe drinking water to school children. Located in the Badulla District, Heewelkandura Maha Vidyalaya has approximately 450 students and 25-30 teachers. With this donation, ROKY Holdings aims to ensure that the school has access to a reliable and clean water supply, benefiting both students and staff in their daily lives. The theme of World Water Day 2025 is ‘Glacier Preservation’, emphasising the important role glaciers play in ensuring drinking water supply.
In celebration of their second anniversary, ROKY Holdings recently installed another water purification system at Ranchamadama Maha Vidyalaya in Embilipitiya and officially handed it over to the students in a grand ceremony. The project was financially supported by ROKY Holdings, while the Lions Club in Embilipitiya coordinated the initiative. These projects are carried out under the theme 'Thibahak Gena Bahak' (A conversation about thirst). Speaking on the initiatives, ROKY Holdings Director/ Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Kasun Rathnayake said, “Access to clean drinking water is a fundamental right, and we are proud to contribute to this cause.
