Drama and confusion continues to plague policy-making decisions governing Sri Lanka’s economy with a Inland Revenue Department (IRD) circular removed hours before its implementation from tomorrow.
A March 28th circular issued by the IRD setting out guidelines to implementation on income tax proposals, is being withdrawn, TimesOnline reliably learns.
The circular reached most institutions yesterday ahead of the March 31 deadline. No reasons were immmediately known for the withdrawal of the circular.
