Vegetables, fresh milk exempted from 15 % VAT

Electricity, water, medicinal drugs, local vegetables, fruits and fresh milk have been exempted from the 15 per cent VAT rule which comes into force on May 2, official sources revealed.
It is however applicable to wholesale and retail trade. (Bandula)
