Art and advocacy will combine when the Youth Wing of the Wildlife and Nature Protection Society of Sri Lanka (WNPS), supported by USAID present ‘Tales of Conservation’ – a two-day exhibition and forum on August 29th and 30th at the Royal MAS Arena from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. In addition to the art on display, the Forum will feature talks by experts on the 29 and 30 on subjects such as conservation education, environmental legislation, waste management.
It’s time to enjoy some classic British comedy when Ray Cooney’s ‘Caught in the Net’ goes on the boards at the Lionel Wendt Theatre on August 30, 31 and September 1. Presented by the Old Boys Union of St. Peter’s College, the play, a sequel to ‘Run for your Wife’ is produced by theatre veteran Jerome de Silva and directed by Surein de S. Wijeratne. The cast is made up of old Peterites with two well known actresses joining in.
