There are 6 districts as we Lions have divided it for our convenience, 21000 Leo Lions and from next year there will be 12 districts throughout the island.

Continuing his speech, he said 'especially the Weyangoda Lions Club (306B82) is called 'the club that takes the leadership in diabetes' Now it is a world-famous club because it was recently highly recognized and awarded at the international level for conducting an Online Diabetes Programme.
It took part not only Sri Lankans but people from other countries too.

Institutions in the area namely Long Life Laboratory Kochchikade, People's Bank Kochchikade, Commercial Bank Kochchikade, Great Lanka Cold Storage, Studio Ashen, Sri Lanka Holiday Tours (Pvt.)Ltd, Warna Caters, Pick a tuk-tuk-tuk rental Sri Lanka, and Kadulla restaurant, all helped in various ways like providing water, bottles, lunch packets, specs, etc to about 300 people living in villages Muruthana and Udangawa.
