The 70th Independence Day of India was celebrated in Sri Lanka,High Commissioner Taranjit Sandhu unfurled national flag,inspected Guard of Honour.
A large number of Indian community members attended the flag hoisting. A cultural performance was held at the Indian High Commission yesterday.
A Sri Lankan man was apprehended at Suvarnabhumi airport for attempting to smuggle wildlife out of the country after three ball pythons were found hidden in his underwear, the Bangkok post reported.
