Day three of HSBC Colombo Fashion drew to a close on Saturday night (March 24) and ended the main designer showcase for the 2019 Spring/Summer season. The showcase had a lineup of both international and Sri Lankan designers as well as a collection by Ponds.
The showcase started off with the collection of Bibi Russell. Collections by Charini, FH, Dimuthu, Ponds, Conscience, and Buddhi Batiks followed up the ramp. The show ended with Hemant Trivedi’s showcase.
The collections had a variety of colours and silhouettes embedded with interesting embellishments and patterns on the clothes, asymmetric sleeves and bottoms of pants. In addition, the collection presented a both western and eastern look to it. Buddhi Batiks stood out with its intricate patterns and conscious for its simple yet greatly complex bottoms.

A Sri Lankan man was apprehended at Suvarnabhumi airport for attempting to smuggle wildlife out of the country after three ball pythons were found hidden in his underwear, the Bangkok post reported.
