The Wildlife and Nature Protection Society (WNPS) of Sri Lanka is organising a field trip to Hikkaduwa National Park on Feb 23.
The Hikkaduwa National Park is one of three Marine parks in Sri Lanka and is a haven for nature lovers and for all those who want to learn more about the ocean and its vast marine life. The programme is conducted by Dr Malik Fernando Past President of WNPS, retired medical officer, veteran marine naturalist, qualified PADI diver, publisher of books and articles on marine invertebrates.
Dr Fernando will be assisted by Jehan Pieris Free lance PADI scuba instructor, master diver trainer and swimming teacher.
Excursion details:
The programme would be ideally suited to persons who can swim and wish to be introduced to reef life using mask and snorkel. Basic requirement is the ability to swim 100 meters.
Things to bring: Pair of deck shoes or reef shoes, long sleeved t-shirt. If you have a mask, snorkel and fin please bring it along.
Total cost per person Rs 7,500
The cost includes transport, Breakfast & Lunch at Coral Sands Hotel. Departure from WNPS office at 6am and return by 4pm
