The ‘Mega Pride – Pride of the Lion’ photographic exhibition by the Minister of Megapolis and Western Development Patali Champika Ranawaka, which got underway today August 9 will go on till August 21 from 10.30 a.m to 10.30 p.m at the Dutch Hospital premises.
The chief guests at the opening included the Chinese Ambassador, Cheng Xueyuan and the South African High Commissioner, Mrs. Robin P. Marks.
Mr. Ranawaka addressing a gathering at the opening said that he had collected between 2,000 -3,000 wildlife photographs and that it was from this collection that he chose images for the exhibition.
The images were captured in Kenya, India, Africa, and Sri Lanka.

I still remember the day of August 1947 floods, as it was the last school day at Kingswood College Kandy and the height the water soured.
