The parade took place with thousands from America and tourists watching the parade to support gay rights. There were those supporring the legalization of marijuana and representatives of the US armed Forces Veterans Association among a wide range of activists participating in the parade in bright sunshine.
The parade took greater significance in the light of the recent shooting in Orlando, USA where a lone gunman shot 49 people in a single night at a well-known gay night club earlier this month.
