The Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre (SVCC), High Commission of India, Colombo, will be holding an online musical evening ‘Shraddhanjali’ to pay tribute to Bollywood Actors Rishi Kapoor, Irfan Khan & Sushant Singh Rajput on Friday, July 17 at 6 p.m.
Three promising singers from Sri Lanka, Hemal Wahalathanthri, Palinda Udawela Arachchi & Khanika Edirimanna would be offering the musical tribute.
Hemal Wahalathanthri, a well-known vocalist graduated from Bhathkhande Sangeeth University, Lucknow, India and is currently working as a musician in the State Orchestra. He has competed his Visharad and Nipun.
Palinda Udawela Arachchi also an well-known vocalist completed his B.Mus & M.Mus in vocal at the Banaras Hindu University,India and is a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Kelaniya. He has also completed his Sangeeth Visharad and Nipun.
Vocalist Khanika Edirimanna completed his Visharad from Bhaththkhande Music University, Lucknow, India and is currently studying at the University of Visual and Performing Arts, Sri Lanka.
