The wolf is here with books for us to devour! The highly anticipated ‘Big Bad Wolf Sale’ which is open to the public tomorrow, had its exclusive preview sale today at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Centre.
Despite the sale, not officially being opened until tomorrow there was still a massive turnout of book-lovers holding preview passes taking the opportunity to get their hands on some amazing books.
Here, for its third run in Colombo, the BBW sale was auspiciously inaugurated by the lighting of the oil lamp by Co-founders Andrew Yap and Jacqueline Ng, Pro Read Sri Lanka (Pvt) Ltd.
Director Partner Nishan Wasalathanthri, Big Bad Wolf Books Sri Lanka partner Dipak Madhavan and other dignitaries including representatives from their official banking partner Sampath Bank, telecommunications partner Mobitel Pvt. Ltd and Mobility partner YouCab.
Speaking at the opening Jacqueline Ng “By organising an event we are able to reach out to more people and even including non-readers as well. Big Bad Wolf is not just a book sale. As you can see, we believe very strongly in moving forward in our mission. It is always our mission to spread the love of reading, improve English literacy and changing the world, one book at a time. ”
The sale will be open for the public from October 18 to 28. It will operate from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Monday through Thursday and will be open on a 24-hour basis on Friday through Sunday.
