Addressing an event at the Lands Ministry today (Mar 19), Mr. Karunathilaka pointed out that his ministry is committed to fulfill Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe's project of distributing one million land deeds to the people.
He also noted that the Lands Ministry would take every effort to ensure that these land deeds are distributed in a meticulous manner.
This, he said was because people face problems starting from enrolling their children in schools upto claiming ownership of lands if the deeds are not distributed in a proper manner.
Minister Karunathilaka stressed that this project will be carried out irrespective of any political differences.
