A total of 102 applicants including that of a US national have been received for the post of hangman, the Prisons Department said today (Feb 28).
Applicants who were above the age of 45 and had not met the required educational qualifications were not considered for selection.
The selected applicants will be called for an interview within the next two days following which recruitments will be undertaken.
Information pertaining to the interview and the selected recruits will be kept confidential, the Prisons Department said.
