11-year old Rohan Aditya Weerakoon, the Champion of the World International Mathematical Olympiad held in Japan, returned to the country last evening.
The contest was held in Japan’s capital of Tokyo from December 28 - 30 and was attended by winners of previous International Mathematical Olympiad contests in Thailand and Hong Kong.
Weerakoon, a student of Badulla Central College, was welcomed by his family, relatives, and well-wishers upon his return to the country.
