A group of 291 stranded Sri Lankans in Malaysia who had registered with the Lankan High Commission in Malaysia and expressed their desire to return home were repatriated on Saturday by Sri Lankan Airlines flight UL319, High Commission said.
The group consisted of 291 Sri Lankans including 98 stranded workers and 193 Sri Lankans on short visits and stranded students.
Following their return, the returnees were sent to COVID 19 quarantine centres to undergo two weeks long mandatory quarantine process.
