At least 85 families in Jaffna have been affected due to saltwater intrusion from the peninsula forcing them to be temporarily displaced to the residences of their relatives, according to Disaster Management officials from the Jaffna District Secretariat.
Families residing in J/161 Grama Sevaka division of Eziloor, Mahendrapuram and another 35 families from J/68 division have been temporarily displaced.
