90 illegal immigrants arrested in seas off Negombo
Ninety Sri Lankans attempting to leave the country illegally were intercepted by the Sri Lanka Navy today in seas off Negombo, Navy Spokesman Dinesh Bandara said.
A patrol vessel of the Navy detected migrants who tried to leave the country on a multi-day trawler
It is believed the group were headed to Reunion and the group comprised of residents from Matale, Batticaloa and Chilaw
