The Attorney General has objected to granting bail to former MP Hirunika Premachandra who was sentenced to a three year Rigorous Imprisonment for the abduction of a youth.
The objections were made by State Counsel by Vishma Wijesuriya when the bail application was considered by High Court judge Amal Ranaraja today.
Accordingly time was granted to file objections on July 11.
