A vehicle parked at the Natha Devale car park was damaged with burn marks when a substance believed to be acid was thrown on to it by an unidentified person.
The vehicle belongs to a prominent supporter of the Nathe Devalaya.
Natha Devale Basnayake Nilame’s car also was damaged in the attack with burn marks as it was parked close to the first vehicle.
The suspect had run away with some burn injuries according to information. Police are inquiring in to the incident.
