Areas in Matale, Kurunegala and Moneragala isolated
Several areas in Matale, Kurunegala and Moneragala have been isolated with immediate effect due to the increase in COVID-19 cases, the National Operations Centre for the Prevention of the Spread of COVID 19 announced.
Dambulla, Galewela, Matale and Naula police areas in Matale district, Pannala police area, Udubaddawa and Galamuna Grama Niladhari divisions in Kurunegala district and Elamulla GN division in Siyambalanduwa, Moneragala district have been declared as isolated with immediate effect.
The Department of Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs ordered the temporarily suspending of congregational Friday Jummah prayers in mosques island-wide today.
