Beauty and Salon equipment worth over Rs 2 million had been stolen from a factory situated at Karadiana, Katana, police said today.
The police elaborated that a local businessman had lodged a complaint that the group of thieves had broken into his factory and stolen beauty and salon equipment worth over Rs 2 million.
The factory manufactured beauty and salon equipment are sold at sales centers and 10 showrooms across the country as well as sold overseas countries such as Canada, Australia, Maldives and other countries.
Police said that their investigations revealed that five employees at the factory had broken into the facility, had dismantled the saloon equipment and had stolen them. Thereafter they had also attempted to sell the stolen equipment via the online platform for cheap prices.
The police, according to information revealed, had arrested the five employees who had been involved in the breaking in as well as the thefts, and had produced them to courts along with the items stolen.
The police added that further investigations regarding the incident are carried by them.
