A 35 year old businessman was arrested by the customs officials at the Katunayake Airport on Friday night while trying to smuggle ICE drugs with a street value of over Rs 25 million, officials said.
The drugs weighing 10 kilograms was concealed with packets containing tea leaves.
He had arrived at the Katunayake Airport from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Malaysia Airlines and walked through the Green channel claiming he had nothing to declare. Further investigations are underway.
