Forty COVID-related deaths had occurred on October 4 and were confirmed by the Director General of Health yesterday (5).
The death toll issued was the lowest reported recently. COVID-19 death toll saw a gradual decrease through this week, with daily deaths ranging between 50-60 compared to 200 plus daily deaths reported several weeks ago.
The country’s total COVID death toll has increased to 13,142 since the first wave. Meanwhile 782 persons were tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday (5).
