A Chinese national tried to enter the country on a forged passport is sceduled to be deported back to the country of arrival, A Senior Immigration and Emigration office said today.  

The incident had taken place when the Chinese national who was trying to enter the country by producing a forged passport to immigration officer at the Bandaranaike International Airport last Thursday in the 09.05pm flight from Dubai.

When the Chinese national was held due to suspicion over his passport as he produced a passport of African country Guinea. However when he was held another Chinese national and Egyptian had behaved violently and obstructed the duties of the officials.

The two Chinese and the Egyptian have repeatedly told the officials that they were businessmen. After the Chinese national was held and taken to the border surveillance unit at the airport along with his documentation. The officials have revealed that the Chinese national had arrived in E.K 648 emirates flight. They have also produced the forged Guinea passport at the Dubai airport.

The officials were also able to reveal that the bio data of the passport produced was a stolen passport which it bio data has been changed. Meanwhile officers also had subjected the Chinese national for lengthy questioning and confirmed that he was Chinese national and found his Chinese passport.

When the officials handed over the Chinese national was handed over to the emirates airlines for deportation. The Chinese national and his friends have pleaded not to do so and even tried to bribe the officials. The Immigration and Emigration office at the airport had also received several calls pressuring to allow the Chinese national to enter the country.

The two Chinese and the Egyptian had also tried to bribe the offices requesting to enter into the country. Also the support of the airport security was requested by the officials as the three individuals behaved violently.

However the officials were able to hold the Chinese national with the forged passport at a holding cell  Friday morning until emirates flight from Katunayake arrived to deport them.  However the deportation delayed as the state minister had made a written request to not to deport the Chinese national . Therefore the Chinese national is currently been held at detention center in Minuwangoda.
