At least 47 passengers were injured as an SLTB bus crashed into a private bus in Bibile.
The collision occurred within the Bibile police area as the private bus, transporting employees of a private company, had stopped to drop off passengers.
The SLTB bus, which was following closely behind, crashed into the halted vehicle.
All 47 injured passengers were rushed to the Bibile Hospital for treatment.
The police said, the bus proceeding in front has stopped suddenly resulting in the accident.
The Bibile police are continuing further investigations into the incident.
