Ministers of State Premalal Jayasekara (Ports and Aviation Services), Indika Anuruddha (Power and Energy), Mohan Priyadarshana de Silva (Agriculture) and Siripala Gamlath (Highways) have been officially removed from their positions with immediate effect, Presidential Secretariat said.
This decision was made under the authority granted to the President by Article 47(3)(a) of the Constitution of Sri Lanka.
Customs have detected 228 mobile phones and tabs valued at over Rs 30 million left behind in the duty free shopping complex at the Banaranaike International Airport today, Customs officials said.
