A further four suspects - three males and a female, have been taken into custody by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in connection with the investigation into the Sathosa "Garlic Scam."
The suspects; three males and a female, were arrested yesterday. They are aged between 38 and 42 years and are residents of Minuwangoda, Meegahawatta, Kandana and Makola.
Police said the female suspect served as Deputy General Manager (Procurement) at Lanka Sathosa Ltd. while one male suspect was the Senior Supplies Manager at Sathosa. The two other suspects had worked as Wholesale Outlet Managers at the Sathosa warehouse in Welisara. The suspects are due to be produced before the Welisara Magistrate's Court today.
