An expert round-up with President Ranil Wickremsinghe, Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena and Senior Officials from the Government of Sri Lanka was held today (31) with the participation of delegates from worldwide and regional multilateral organizations.
Attended the discussion were representatives from World Bank (WB), Asian Development Bank (ADB), International Monetary Fund (IMF), (Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), IFCA International, Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), United States Agency for International Development (USAID), (European Union (EU) and the United Nations (UN).
According to the PMD, the meeting is a follow-up to the previous round-table discussion in December 2022.
The session was centered on the Government’s reform programs aimed at moving from crisis to recovery and sustainable growth and also spanned challenges, opportunities and commitments for development of Sri Lanka, the PMD emphasized.
